The Human Reset is a vibration based massage of the sub-occipital muscles at the base of the skull, that relieves pain and tension in the neck and back and can alleviate related migraines, TMJD and Bruxism. As the treatment supports enhanced posture, it has also been seen to improve focus, sleep, physical performance and overall wellbeing.
The reset is performed by slowly and gradually massaging the muscles at the base of the skull (sub-occipital muscles). It is performed with a purpose built tool that vibrates at a high frequency in order to loosen the muscles and release the built up tension. The release results in a reduction of pressure on the arteries and veins, cranial nerves, including the vagus nerve, which can enable the body to reset. Due to the newly discovered vital function of the sub-occipital muscles, theReset aims to address a previously overlooked mechanical cause of chronic pain, sleep deficits and other ailments. TheReset has been seen to have positive domino effects throughout the body, such as proprioceptive function, including improved posture & mobility, as well as increased blood flow, brain oxygenation and overall well-being.
We tend to see two distinct customer groups that benefit most from the reset:
Individuals seeking active pain relief from:
Individuals seeking preventative wellbeing and performance benefits:
Whilst many customers experience amazing and in some cases even life changing results, everyones experience and results are case dependent and can vary.
Over the past years and thousands of patients we have seen the following anecdotal results:
Most customers experience significant and sustained results within a single session. How long-lasting the results are depends on the severity and cause of the discomfort but it is mostly a matter of months as opposed to days and weeks.'
Whilst we have customers (particularly seeking wellbeing benefits) that opt for more frequent visits, we tend to advise customers to come once a week at the most and ideally to plan for monthly visits to enable the body to reset after each visit.
The treatment involves a deep tissue massage that requires a certain amount of pressure. While some individuals may find it uncomfortable, others may actually enjoy the feeling of release. In either case, the treatment only takes a few minutes and is safe. If the patient needs to take a break, we will always be accommodating.
There are no known risks associated with performing this treatment. Over the past two decades, the treatment has been performed over two million times in more than 40 countries, and there has never been a malpractice lawsuit filed against it.
Although there are no side effects associated with this treatment, about 10% of patients may experience changes during the healing process, such as muscle tension in the neck as the body adapts to improved posture, and in rare cases momentary exacerbation of existing ailments or the recurrence of past ailments.
